Tony Blair’s sister-in-law has converted to Islam
Tony Blair’s sister-in-law has converted to Islam after having what she describes as a “holy experience” during a visit to Iran.
Journalist and broadcaster Lauren Booth, 43 – Cherie Blair’s sister – now wears a hijab whenever she leaves her home, prays five times a day and visits her local mosque whenever she can.
She decided to become a Muslim six weeks ago after visiting the shrine of Fatima al-Masumeh in the city of Qom.
“It was a Tuesday evening and I sat down and felt this shot of spiritual morphine, just absolute bliss and joy,” she said in an interview today.When she returned to Britain, she decided to convert immediately.
Booth – who works for Press TV, the English-language Iranian news channel – has stopped eating pork and reads the Qur’an every day. She is currently on page 60.
Booth has stopped drinking alcohol and says she has not wanted to drink since converting.
Before her spiritual awakening in Iran, she had been “sympathetic” to Islam and has spent considerable time working in Palestine, she said, adding that she hoped her conversion would help Blair change his presumptions about Islam.
-When she returned to Britain, she decided to convert immediately.
‘Now I don’t eat pork and I read the Koran every day. I’m on page 60. I also haven’t had a drink in 45 days, the longest period in 25 years,’ she said.‘The strange thing is that since I decided to convert I haven’t wanted to touch alcohol, and I was someone who craved a glass of wine or two at the end of a day.

Relief From Headache In Natural Ways
Headache is a common problem, specially among the working crowd. Headache is caused due to several factors, but we can put it under three broad categories -
1.Tension – This is the most common cause of headache. Tension creates a spasm of the muscles at the back of the neck. The muscle spasm gets the tissues over the surface of the cranium and thus, the pain is felt not only on in the neck but also on the forehead.
2.Migraine – Migraine is the abnormality of the nervous system. This strain on the nervous system is caused due to eye strain, shock, stomach disorders etc. Migraine is a chronic disease which needs medical attention.
3.Cluster Headache – Cluster headaches are repetitive and gets back several times in a month. These are generally caused due to constant pressure on the nerves like alcohol consumption, chain smoking etc.
Headaches are very disturbing and restricts your attention to the pain alone. At this moment pain killer seems to be the only solution to get relief form headache. Pain killers, however, have side effects. Here are few home remedies to get relief from headache -
1.For chronic headache, eat sliced apple with salt everyday in the morning for a week.
2.Crush lemon crust into a fine powder and make it into a paste with the use of water. Apply this on the forehead. This is quick relief form headache caused due to tension.
3.Apply a small amount of Eucalyptus oil on the center of the head and cover it with a towel dipped in warm water. This is one of the most effective ways of curing pain.
4.Put 3 drops of ghee in your nostrils for a week to get rid of headache from cold.
5.Drink a glass of water with a teaspoon of honey every morning to treat chronic headache.
6.Grind watermelon seeds with poppy seeds and consume three grams of it everyday if you are suffering constant pain.
7.Application of sandalwood paste on the forehead is one of the tradition ways of curing headache.
These seven tips will surely give you quick relief from headache and does not have any side effects. They not only get you relief from headache but also treats it, so that you don't suffer the symptoms again.

JESHI la Marekani limekubali kuanza kutoa mafunzo ya kijeshi kwa mashoga baada ya wiki iliyopita Jaji wa Jimbo la California kutengua sera ya 'usiulize, usimwambie'. Sera hiyo ilikuwa ikipinga wazi mashoga kutumikia jeshi ingawa Wizara ya Ulinzi imewaonya wanajeshi mashoga ikisema kuwa huenda sheria hiyo ikatenguliwa.
Habari kutoka mjini Washington DC zimeeleza kuwa, pamoja na sera hiyo ya kupinga mashoga kutumikia jeshi kutenguliwa, Pentagon imekata rufaa kuhusu uamuzi huo na kumtaka Jaji kurejesha kwa muda sera hiyo lakini Jaji Virginia Phillips jana alikataa ombi hilo.
Imeelezwa kuwa baada ya kuondolewa sera hiyo, makundi ya wanaharakati wa kutetea haki za mashoga wamepanga kupeleka watu wa jamii hiyo kwenye vituo vya mafunzo ya kijeshi ili kujaribu tamko hilo la Pentagon.
"Endapo wenyewe binafsi watakubali wazi kuwa ni mashoga na wanataka kujifunza jeshi, tutawafanyia utaratibu lakini tutawaeleza kuwa hali hiyo kisheria inaweza kubadilika," amesema msemaji wa Idara ya Mafunzo ya Kijeshi katika kituo cha Fort Knox, Kentucky, Douglas Smith.
Mwezi Septemba mwaka huu, Chama cha Democrats kilijaribu kuitengua sera hiyo ya kuzuia mashoga kutumikia jesheni kupitia Baraza la Seneti lakini kikashindwa baada ya kushindwa kupata kura za kutosha.
Naye Rais Barack Obama, alishatangaza kuiondoa sera hiyo lakini wengi wa washauri wake wanakubali kuwa Rais huyo hawezi kuondoa sera hiyo ya kuwapiga marufuku mashoga kutumikia wazi jeshini bila kupitishwa na Baraza la Congress ama hatua za kisheria.
Katika hatua nyingine, Pentagon imesema kuwa Desemba mosi mwaka huu, inatarajia kutoa taarifa kuhusu uwezekano wa kuwepo madhara watakapowaruhusu wazi mashoga kutumikia jeshini.
Baadhi ya maofisa wa Pentagon wanasema kuwa kuwaruhusu mashoga kutaleta mabadiliko ya kila kitu jeshini kuanzia nyumba, bima na itifaki katika shughuli za kijamii.
Mjini California, Jaji Phillips anadai kuwa sera hizo zinavuruga haki za wanajeshi mashoga kuwa huru kuzungumza na kupata ulinzi sawa chini ya sheria.
Kesi ya kupinga kuzuiwa mashoga jeshini ilifunguliwa na kundi kutoka chama cha Republicans kinachounga mkono mashoga kwa niaba ya wanajeshi mashoga ambao walitimuliwa.
